Asher has titled this UP UP
Asher keeps saying up up when I am showing him these pictures because he went up and down on the carousel. I thought it might be because everyone seemed to have a finger up their nose that day:-) Needless to say we had fun

Fall outings
We are trying to make the best of this fall weather. It has been beautiful the last few weeks! It feels more like September still, but we are getting all the luxurious leaves changing colors w/great temps. Some of the pictures here are the Botanic Gardens. If your wondering we love to go there pretty often. It's a nice get away from the inner urban setting we live in. The other pictures are the park right by our house. I took Asher out to collect some leaves and there was no lack of collecting them for him. He for some reason wanted to only gather up the dried up old ones though :-) We still had fun rolling around in the different shades of fall..

Apple Picking Time..
One of the many benefits to autumn in the Midwest is the apple picking & Pumpkin patch time. Keith & I took Asher to an apple orchard in Indiana yesterday to go on his first official apple picking outing:-) It was fun. Of course it was a little chilly & gray outside, but we enjoyed it,especially the hot apple cider afterwards! Below are some of the pictures we salvaged after discovering we had the camera set on the wrong setting. Nonetheless, it was fun and I am looking forward to making my first homemade apple pie out of the apples Asher collected and so willingly dropped in a bag for me & Keith.

Greenbergs in August at Botanic Gardens
Hidden suprises
Zeida took us for a drive up in the mountains surrounding Vegas. It was really beautiful especially when you live in a city and don't see much nature. I think that may have been one of the biggest highlights of our trip. Asher loved exploring and on our way out we found a small petting zoo. There were deer, goats, ducks, peacocks, pigs & lots more all just running wild for him to touch and see. And yes in the middle of the dessert my kid probably found the one flower that existed there. He was so proud to give me the flower (which he calls Bower). It was good to see my little guy getting to run and see new things. The last picture is of the road. As you can tell there wasn't much traffic....Keith was having lots of fun standing in the middle of the road snapping shots. We all got some kind of a small surprise . I got a beautiful yellow flower, Asher got to pet some new animals and Keith got lots of great photos!
