Apple Picking Time..

One of the many benefits to autumn in the Midwest is the apple picking & Pumpkin patch time. Keith & I took Asher to an apple orchard in Indiana yesterday to go on his first official apple picking outing:-) It was fun. Of course it was a little chilly & gray outside, but we enjoyed it,especially the hot apple cider afterwards! Below are some of the pictures we salvaged after discovering we had the camera set on the wrong setting. Nonetheless, it was fun and I am looking forward to making my first homemade apple pie out of the apples Asher collected and so willingly dropped in a bag for me & Keith.

Greenbergs in August at Botanic Gardens

This picture is actually 2 months old, but I didn't see it until now. Keith's parents visited and we enjoyed the scenery at Botanics for the day.

Hidden suprises

Zeida took us for a drive up in the mountains surrounding Vegas. It was really beautiful especially when you live in a city and don't see much nature. I think that may have been one of the biggest highlights of our trip. Asher loved exploring and on our way out we found a small petting zoo. There were deer, goats, ducks, peacocks, pigs & lots more all just running wild for him to touch and see. And yes in the middle of the dessert my kid probably found the one flower that existed there. He was so proud to give me the flower (which he calls Bower). It was good to see my little guy getting to run and see new things. The last picture is of the road. As you can tell there wasn't much traffic....Keith was having lots of fun standing in the middle of the road snapping shots. We all got some kind of a small surprise . I got a beautiful yellow flower, Asher got to pet some new animals and Keith got lots of great photos!

Las Vegas

Ok, so Las Vegas wasn't the best experiece we have ever had with Asher, but we did enjoy the wedding and we even snuck in some time to look at the lights and water show at the Bellagio
